30+ Famous Parents Who Are Proud Of Their LGBTQ ChildrenBy Nicole Price
LGBTQ children couldn’t be themselves in the past. Many people still can’t today, especially if they don’t have the love and support of their family or closest friends. That’s why it’s so inspiring to see celebrities supporting their LGBTQ children wholeheartedly. We can only hope that other parents will follow in their footsteps and accept their children for the wonderful people they are.
Dwyane Wade, Gabrielle Union, and Zaya
A former athlete, Dwayne Wade, and actress Gabrielle Union are the first to take the stage at the ceremony. As a result of his various relationships, Dwayne Wade is the father of four children, one of whom is transgender daughter Zaya.
“We are proud parents of a child in the LGBTQ+ community, and we’re proud allies as well,” the retired basketball player told Ellen DeGeneres. We love how the star went on to explain his child’s transition and preferred pronouns.
Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, and Shiloh
Even though Shiloh Pitt appears on this list, it has not been confirmed that she is a member of the LGBTQ community, which makes her an unusual inclusion. Despite this, she has already established herself as an LGBTQ icon.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughter has never conformed to traditional gender roles. Shiloh has been spotted with short hair and “male” clothing on several occasions, and Jolie has stated, “She wants to be a boy.” Shiloh was also referred to as “John” by the actors at one point.
